APEX

Access technology in the spotlight

The APEX (Aerial Platform Exhibition) is one of the most important international trade fairs for aerial work platforms and access technology. Manufacturers, suppliers and indusrty experts come together to present the latest machines, components and technologies for the sector. MOBA will also be on site, showcasing solutions for cranes and aerial work platforms specifically tailored to the requirements of OEM manufacturers and system integrators.

Technologies for modern work platforms and crane systems

Aerial work platforms and crane systems place high demands on sensors, data communication and system integration. Reliable measurement values, robust components and flexible interfaces are essential for safe machine functions and efficient control systems.

MOBA has been developing sensor and system solutions for mobile machines for many years, which are used worldwide in demanding applications. The focus is on precise data aquisition, stable CAN communication and components that can be easily integrated into existing machine architectures.

At APEX, MOBA will showcase a selection of these technologies — from proven sensor systems to new solutions for the next generation of work platforms.

Innovation: contactless data and power transmission

One highlight at our stand will be the contactless data and power transmission technology that MOBA already presented at the bauma trade fair. The solution has been further developed and specifically optimized for applications in aerial work platforms and lifting systems.

This solution enables the transfer of energy and data between two directly coupled modules on moving machine parts without electrical plug contacts. The interfaces are mechanically aligned or opposing each other, allowing energy and signals to be transferred via contactless coupling.

Therefore traditional slip rings, cable chains or plug connections can be reduced or completely eliminated. As a result, system reliability increases, maintenance effort is reduced and machine architecture becomes significantly simplified.

Using this technology, MOBA addresses a key industry trend:  robust, low-maintenance interfaces for increasingly complex machine functions.
