As the centerpiece of the Innovation Corner, MOBA will present the new AGRI-SONIC. The robust ultrasonic sensor measures the actual working depth in soil cultivation – contactless and in real time. Normally, working depth is preset using support devices such as trailing rollers or support wheels. However, this only determines the relative position of the support devices to the machine frame, not the actual working depth. Especially under varying soil conditions, deviations occur: in moist or sandy areas, the supports sink deeper, while in dry areas they hardly sink at all. The working depth therefore varies. AGRI-SONIC, on the other hand, measures the distance directly between the machine frame and the ground – independent of obstacles such as vegetation. The special feature of the ultrasonic sensor is its ability to evaluate multiple echoes with precision. A specially developed algorithm reliably filters out interferences such as plant residues and identifies the relevant ground signal. The captured values are displayed on the terminal or serve as the basis for precise manual or automatic depth control.
