Monument of Friendship - MOBA Supports a Memorial for International Friendships

Today, the Monument of Friendship (MoF), sponsored by MOBA Mobilen Automation AG, has been opened on the Europaplatz in Limburg, a memorial in the name of Europe, created in a German-Polish student cooperation. In addition to our financial contribution, our apprentice Dominik Götz has actively supported the automation of the statue. From today on, the city of Limburg can look forward to a new, technically sophisticated friendship monument.

In cooperation with pupils and teachers of the Friedrich-Dessauer-Schule, their partner school in Chróznow, and some local companies, the project was successfully implemented within one year. Background of the project within the framework of the EU program Erasmus+ was the personal and professional development of the students in special skills, such as creativity, international cooperation and technical know-how.

The monument consists of two automated steel figures, a girl and a boy, who move towards each other at the push of a button and shake hands. In addition to the built-in electric motor, which is powered by solar energy, the technical requirement was also a mechanism that can be controlled from anywhere in the world and a camera that captures the movement of the figures live.

Dominik volunteered for the project in school and can now look back on a great time and a successful project. With his task on sensors and safety, he has contributed a crucial component to the monument. Although the beginnings were at first linguistically very challenging, the trainee as an electronics technician for devices and systems has enjoyed the international cooperation and, above all, gained completely new insights into the working methods in Poland.

With the support of the project, the young junior technicians set an example for a united Europe and for international cooperation. As a global player with 14 subsidiaries worldwide and an international dealer network, this transnational exchange is particularly important to us. In this way, we not only promote our professional competence in our young talent, but also prepare them for an international environment for their career path. We are proud of our apprentice, who has been extremely committed to this project, and are pleased to have made a joint contribution to promoting intercultural friendships, and we hope that the monument will continue to remind of a united Europe in the long term.
